Lucky Me

I went down to Old Eagle Tavern last night for some dinner. I may have been nicknamed "Lucky" because I walked home with this treasure trove of brews that are worth more than I spent at the establishment. Two are from Weyerbacher Brewing Company and the third is from Cigar City Brewing I'm curious to see how the Cigar City beer, a part of their 'Humidor Series' which is aged in cedar, mixes with some of favorite cigars.
Stay tuned for results

Here's a brief description of the beers.

From Weyerbacher:

Merry Monks' - ABV 9%

When you try this beer you’re in for a unique treat. The special effervescence and creaminess are immediately apparent when pouring. The pilsner malts combined with the Belgian yeast strains yield a remarkable and complex flavor- perhaps you’ll note subtle hints of banana and cookie dough.

Blithering Idiot - ABV 11.1%

Our barleywine is made in the British tradition of balanced hearty ales. Blithering Idiot is a deep-copper ale with intense malty notes of dates and figs on the palate that follows a pleasurably malty aroma to your taste buds.

From Cigar City:

"The Humidor Series: A rotating offering of Cigar City Brewing beer aged on cedar. We change the offering every release so that more of our beers get to luxuriate in cigar box cedar."
